Concr machine learning model predicts survival in early breast cancer

05 May 2023

Delivered as an oral presentation at AACR 2023 Annual Meeting, this study set out to develop a prognostic model which integrates genetic, clinical and treatment data to predict survival for early breast cancer.

Patient-specific features are key determinants of response to cancer therapy. It is therefore essential to integrate them into computational modelling to predict overall survival given a particular cancer treatment, or aid with selection with the best available targeted therapy. Accuracy of integrating diverse data parcels into a single model of early breast cancer was explored, and most accurate model applied to predict survival in early breast cancer patients.
